Topic: God’s Timing Is Never Late
Verse: Isaiah 60:22 – “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
A delayed expectation can make you feel like God never spoke or His words aren’t as true in your life as other Christians claim.
The truth is that God’s clock is not ours and He has different timings for every one of us.
From our anchor scripture, we can see that God has His team measurements right. He says that when it is the right time I am going to make it happen. Not when you want, not when the world expects, but when the time is right.
When we look at our lives and see “delays,” they only validate the fact that our timings are not God’s.
The scripture even confirms this when it says “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” – 2 Peter 3:8 (NIV).
So, according to God’s timing means according to His wisdom and not human schedules.
The Bible talks about “the fullness of time” for Jesus to come in Galatians 4:4 where it says “But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law.”
Jesus did not come until the time God determined – not later, not earlier.
In the time of waiting, you stay focused on His word, you speak His word, you confess His word, and act on it. You fulfill your quota of obedience and actions. All it takes is believing God because like we learnt yesterday, He is not a man that He should lie.
Sometimes the waiting season is the very place God builds the strength you will need when the answer comes, because blessings require maturity to handle well. You might not see what He is arranging behind the scenes, but you can be sure that every second is counted in His plan. Trust that the same God who made the promise will also choose the perfect day for it to be fulfilled.
Prayer of the Day
Lord, I thank You because Your timing is always perfect and You are never late. Help me to trust You when I cannot see the full picture, and give me the patience to wait without grumbling. I choose to believe that when the time is right, You will make it happen in my life.
