Topic: What God Starts, He Finishes

Verse: Philippians 1:6 – “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

People start building projects and do not finish. Some begin something and do not see it through. It almost feels likes it is a human construct to start something and not hold enough capacity to finish.

There are a lot of reasons for this. For some, they begin the project and do not have the resource to complete it. Others just pick up something new and abandon the other. While there are some still that drop something they are working on because they have been on it for too long without profit.

This nature of man is different from God’s.

Throughout scriptures we see how God proves to us that when He begins a thing, He sees it to the end. It is simply as our anchor scripture puts it – We are confident in the fact that God who has began to do something good in our lives will continue it until the day Jesus comes.

He is not short of resources. He does not grow weary of dealing with your flaws and incapacity. He plans to do a full work on all that are in Him in the various spheres of existence.

Our role in this equation is to trust and follow His leading. It does not matter how long it takes, you can rest assured that God is the Project Manager and He is never letting you go until He completes His project – when Christ returns.

You may be like Abraham and the project may just be taking forever or like Joseph with the project requiring you to go through unpleasant situations or like Hannah forcing you to endure the mockery and shame but know this – He that has began with you will not leave you halfway.

This is the confidence we have and that is what you should move with today.

Prayer for the Day

Father, I believe in your word that you are working in my life and through my life. I ask that where my faith fails me, strengthen me. Help me to continually trust and follow You till You perfect the work you are doing in my life. Amen.
