Today’s devotional for women is on Setting Spiritual Goals and it intends to help women see the importance of setting spiritual goals and some of the goals you can set as a lady.
Do you set goals for your spiritual life? Just like we set goals for work or family, it is good to set goals for growing closer to God. 1 Timothy 4:8 says, “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things.” Spiritual goals help us focus on what matters most.
One goal could be spending more time reading the Bible. The Bible is God’s Word. It teaches us how to live and know God better. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Even reading one verse a day can make a big difference.
Another goal is to pray more. Prayer is talking to God. It helps us share our hearts with Him and hear His voice. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing.” Start small by praying every morning or before bed.
We can also set a goal to show love to others. Jesus told us to love our neighbors. This could mean helping someone, sharing kind words, or forgiving. Galatians 5:14 says, “For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Lastly, set a goal to trust God more. Sometimes life is hard, and we feel afraid. But Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” Trusting God means believing He will take care of us, even when things feel uncertain.
Prayer
Dear God, thank You for loving me. Please help me set good spiritual goals. Show me how to read Your Word, pray more, and love others. Teach me to trust You every day. Help me grow closer to You and live in a way that pleases You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
