Today’s devotional for women is on Overcoming Lies: What God Says About You and it intends to help men to defeat identity crisis by understanding what God says about them.

Daily devotional for men

As men, we face lies every day. Society tells us we aren’t good enough unless we’re successful or rich. Our past mistakes whisper that we’re failures. The enemy uses these lies to keep us down. But the truth is, God says something different about you. He says you are chosen, loved, and called for His purpose. In 1 Peter 2:9, the Bible says, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people.” That’s who you are.

To overcome lies, you need to fill your mind with truth. Start by reading God’s Word. When lies tell you, “You’re not enough,” remember Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” When you feel condemned by your past, hold on to Romans 8:1: “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.” Speak these truths out loud. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

Surround yourself with men who will remind you of the truth. Join a group of Christian brothers who will pray with you and encourage you. Iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Be open about your struggles, and let them help you fight the lies. I remember when I felt unworthy because of a mistake I made years ago. A friend reminded me of 2 Corinthians 5:17: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” That reminder helped me break free from shame.

God’s truth sets you free. When you believe what He says about you, you walk with confidence and strength. Lies lose their power. You’ll find peace in knowing you are loved and forgiven. And when you live in the truth, you become a better husband, father, and leader. The truth builds you up so you can build others up. Don’t let lies hold you back anymore. Trust what God says about you.
