Today’s devotional for women is on “Embracing Spiritual Growth” and it is a message that beckons on women to take responsibility for their spiritual lives rather than relegate it amidst the many other responsibilities they are shouldering.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)
Life is full of seasons, and just like a tree grows stronger over time, your spiritual journey is a process. Growth doesn’t happen all at once. It’s in the daily steps—the quiet prayers, the moments in God’s Word, the times you choose faith over fear—that you become more rooted in Him.
As women, we often carry many responsibilities. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and think, “Do I have the time to grow spiritually?” The answer is simple: you don’t have to do it all at once. God is not asking for perfection; He’s asking for your heart. He’s inviting you to draw closer to Him each day, trusting that He will help you grow.
When you remain connected to Jesus, the true vine, He will nourish your spirit. Just like a branch receives strength and life from the vine, your strength comes from staying close to Him. Spiritual growth may mean letting go of things that drain you—whether it’s fear, comparison, or self-doubt—and allowing God to fill those spaces with His peace and joy.
It’s okay if the growth feels slow. Remember Philippians 1:6: “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” God is faithful to finish what He starts in you. Trust His timing and His process.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for being patient with me as I grow. Help me to stay connected to You, the true vine. Teach me to let go of things that hold me back and to trust Your work in my life. Strengthen me to take small, faithful steps every day. I want to grow closer to You and bear fruit for Your glory. Amen.
Final Counsel
Take time today to reflect on what it means to stay connected to Jesus. Are there things in your life that need pruning? Trust that God’s hand is gentle, and His plans are for your good. Keep walking with Him, and know that even the smallest steps of faith are part of your beautiful spiritual growth journey.
