Topic: God Works Behind the Scene
Text: My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” – John 5:17
We have all been there – feeling like the situation you are trusting God for is not changing at all.
I know that feeling. You pray, fast, cry, hope, make faith confessions, trust the promises of God but nothing is changing. In some cases, it even feels like the issue gets worse. You know that, yes?
One of the things I have learnt from the Bible is that our experiences are not far from those of the people in the days of scriptures. Let’s look at Joseph.
He had the biggest dreams anyone can conceive. The best part of it is he lived a chaste life yet his very brothers sold him to slavery in Egypt.
While in Egypt, he was quickly promoted to the head of house in Potiphar’s house but trouble met him there still. You will think that running away from Potiphar’s wife would make him to be free from troubles and trials. That however landed him in more problems.
He was thrown in prison and for all his good efforts, the chief butler would have remembered him.
All the while, God was working behind the scenes. What have you suffered or are you suffering? What is making you feel that God has abandoned you or that you are on your own in this journey of life?
I assure you, God loves you too much to leave you – too much to not care about you.
The struggles and persistent challenges are for a season, they will soon pass and you will testify that all along, Jehovah was working behind the scenes.
Prayer for the Day
Dear Lord, I sometimes doubt that you are with me, I feel like you have abandoned me sometimes. The weight of my situation bears down heavily and I want to give up. But I know that you are with me. I am reminded that you will never leave me or forsake me. Lord, help me to always remember this and to go through each day as you supply grace. Amen.
