Today’s Jesus is Calling Devotional is on “Discovering Your Purpose.” It reminds us of the fact that we were not created by accident and we have the responsibility of finding out why we were created and living it out.

Jesus is calling devotional for today

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)

You are not here by accident. God made you with His hands, shaping you into someone special. He didn’t just place you in this world without a plan. Before you were even born, He prepared good works for you to do. Everything about you—your gifts, your personality, even the challenges you’ve faced—has a purpose.

Sometimes, it’s easy to feel lost or unsure about why you’re here. You might ask, “What is my purpose?” The truth is, your purpose is not something you have to find on your own. It is discovered as you walk with God. He reveals it step by step.

Start with what’s in front of you. Look for ways to serve and bless others. Maybe it’s through a kind word, an act of love, or using your talents to help someone. These small acts are part of the bigger plan God has for your life. As you trust Him, He will open doors and guide you to the path He has prepared for you. Don’t rush, and don’t compare your journey to others. God’s plan for you is unique.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me with love and giving me a purpose. Even when I feel uncertain, help me trust that You are guiding me. Show me the good works You have prepared for me and give me the courage to take the next step. Thank You for being patient and faithful. I want to follow You. Amen.

Final Counsel

Take some time today to reflect and pray. Ask God to show you the next step in His plan for your life. Remember, you don’t have to figure everything out at once. Trust Him to lead you, one step at a time. You are His masterpiece, and He is working in you for His glory.
