VERSE: You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

You are like a light in the world. Imagine a city built on a hill. Everyone can see it because it shines brightly in the dark. Jesus calls us to be like that city, shining brightly so others can see the goodness of God through our actions and words. Being a light means showing kindness, love, and care to people around you. It means helping others, even when no one is watching, because God is always watching.

Sometimes, it is easy to feel small, like your little actions do not matter. But Jesus reminds us that even the smallest light shines brightly in the darkest places. A simple smile, a kind word, or sharing what you have can bring so much hope to someone who feels lost or sad. Do not hide your light. Do not be afraid to stand out when you are doing what is right.

The light you carry is not just yours. It is God’s light shining through you. When people see the good you do, they are not just seeing you—they are seeing the love of God. That is why Jesus says to let your light shine so others may glorify your Father in heaven. It is not about being perfect. It is about showing God’s love through the way you live every day.
