Vee Women Devotional for June 10
Topic: You Were Not a Mistake
Scripture Focus: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:14
Devotional Message
Let’s talk about the quiet battles many women face. The kind where no one sees the insecurities brewing beneath the surface. Maybe someone once said you were too loud, too emotional, too ambitious, too dark, too curvy, too soft. Or maybe they said nothing at all, and the silence made you feel invisible. But God never whispered you into existence—He spoke you forth with intention and joy.
Psalm 139:14 is not just a pretty verse for wall art. It’s a divine declaration over your life. “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” That word fearfully means with awe, with reverence, with holy thoughtfulness. You were not assembled like a cheap product. You were handwoven by a perfect God.
You are not an error in your family’s story. You are not the result of random biology. You are a decision of God. He looked at the world and decided it needed one of you. Every part of your personality—your sense of humor, your way of thinking, your desire to create, your tendency to feel deeply—all of it was handcrafted by heaven.
Yes, your past may be messy. Maybe you made mistakes. Maybe others wounded you. But that does not cancel God’s design. You are not the sum total of your worst days. You are a living testimony in the making. Even when life tells you that you are unworthy, Psalm 139 reminds you that you are a wonder.
God does not do copy and paste. There is no one like you—and there’s a reason for that. Even your struggles can become the soil where your purpose grows. Don’t look at your reflection with disgust. Don’t measure your life with someone else’s ruler. Look into the Word and see what God says: You are My workmanship. My daughter. My design. My beloved.
So, straighten your shoulders today. Walk into rooms knowing you are supposed to be there. Smile with the confidence that heaven supports your existence. You were not a mistake. You were a miracle spoken by God Himself.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for creating me on purpose. Forgive me for the times I doubted my worth or compared myself to others. Let the truth of Your Word sink deep into my heart. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Help me to live like I believe it. Remind me daily that I am loved, seen, and chosen by You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
