There is Renewal and Restoration in God

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

Yesterday, we began talking about how it was possible to begin again with God

Yes, there could have been a lot of things that had gone wrong during the time that you left and the effect of those things could be educating you, teaching you that there is no way back or hope for restoration.

That is a lie from the devil. It is the deception of sin.

Do not fall for it.

There is renewal and restoration in God.

In Zechariah 3:1-7, we see the story of Joshua the High Priest who the devil was opposing. I love what happened in verse 2. The Bible says:

“And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?”

God was already in the process of restoring Joshua and even in the high priest’s “unwanted” and “disgusting” state, the LORD said is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?

Even to you, the Lord is saying: is this not someone I endured the cross for? Is this not someone I paid the price of redemption for? Is this not someone I love so deeply to leave the 99 for and chase after?

Yes, that person is you.

He loves you so much and has invested so much to allow the devil to have you to himself.

And like He did with Joshua, He is set to do for you as well. In verse 4, the LORD commanded:

“…Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.”

For you as well, He is causing your inquiry to pass from you and He is clothing you with a change of raiment.

That is restoration. That is renewal.

He is making you anew and putting you right back on the path you left. This time He is going to be with you every step of the way. You can trust that.

Stop accepting the devil’s lie telling you there is no hope for you or making you believe that this message of restoration is not for you.

It is for YOU, yes, YOU.

Ready for a restoration?

Say this prayer with me:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for your restoration grace. Thank You because I know You are restoring me by Your mercy and Your power. Lord, even now, I still feel unworthy but I am grateful to know that my unworthiness makes me a recipient for Your mercy. Thank you for perfecting my restoration. And Lord, help me to live in the light of Your glory and to not miss my way anymore.
