A few weeks after joining a new church during NYSC, Ada met Victor. He was attentive, spiritual and, according to her, very smooth. Within weeks, he was practically living in her room. Then they started sleeping together.
She thought they were figuring out where the relationship was going. Victor apparently had other plans because she found out he was getting married to his fiancée during a church service.

Don’t even get me started with how hard dating in church can be. Anyone who has dated a christian can tell that some of the worst set of people are christians.

I joined this church back in 2019, August to be precise, and for me I just wanted a family. I was starting NYSC and the church was not so far from my lodge.
First day in church and before I left the building I was already hearing “heysss, sister.”
It did not come as a surprise so I turned and this lanky brother with his neat lowcut and sharp carving was smiling as he caught his breath.
He introduced himself and his name should have told me run.

Victor collected my number and from that night he started to love bomb me. It was sweet. Victor was smooth. It felt like he knew all the right things to say.
For every problem I had, Victor had the words for me.
Three weeks in, after one long service like that, Victor asked to come to my house. It felt harmless. After that day, he came again, and again, and again.
Before long, this boy was staying in my house for hours under the excuse that his roommates were not making his house comfortable.
One night he asked to pass the night. It did not mean anything and it was kinda late at the time. So I let him.
Tell me why sometime around 1am ish this boy started moving funny. And before you ask, yes, we did the deed.
